Ed Brown

Alumni Awardee: Edward Brown ’75

Ed Brown is a leading force in the evangelical creation care movement. As founder, executive director and CEO of Care of Creation (a global environmental missions organization) and senior associate for the Lausanne Creation Care Network, he mobilizes churches and communities around the world.

Ed speaks and provides organizational consulting on environmental issues for nonprofits and churches around the globe. He is the author of Our Father’s World: Mobilizing the Church to Care for Creation and When Heaven and Nature Sing: Exploring God’s Goals for His People and His Church. He previously led the Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies, served as a pastor overseas and in the U.S., and worked with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.

A developer, entrepreneur and champion for Christian environmental stewardship, Ed earned his bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Gordon and a Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

At Homecoming and Family Weekend this year, Ed received the A. J. Gordon Missionary Service Award for faithfully serving with integrity and maintaining a steadfast commitment to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
