For 15 years, the annual Jerusalem and Athens Forum (JAF) debate has provided a platform for some of the most pressing questions concerning modern-day Christianity. This year, the debate focused on the statement: “Modern models of Christian missions should be discarded as a relic of colonialism.”

The Jerusalem and Athens Forum (JAF) debate has become a tradition here at Gordon. As a highlight of Symposium week, JAF students both defended and disproved the notion that “The American ideals of ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’ are compatible with a biblical worldview.”
