125 Hours of Prayer: Companions in Prayer

Students organized an initiative for 125 hours of consecutive prayer in recognition of Gordon’s 125th anniversary year. Beginning Sunday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. through Friday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m., students hope to reach out to faculty, staff, parents, alumni and the Board of Trustees to request prayer for the Gordon community.  Students will be reaching out on social media to engage with alumni, parents and friends of the College. Participants will be asked to visit a webpage to see the global participation and reach of this special student requested prayer outreach.

One student organizer, William Hagen ’15, an English Language and Literature major from New York, hopes that as students pray, many others, such as Gordon’s alumni community, will specifically include Gordon students in their daily prayer. “It started as a fun way to connect to the 125th, but it’s developed into something much more intentional—a time of companionship in prayer. We hope parents, alumni and those considering Gordon for their education, will pray together with us.
