Hartford Teacher Rebekah Dostie ’20 Named 2023 Recipient of Wright Award

The Wright Award honors a Gordon graduate who is making a difference in an underserved community through education by providing funding for their personal educational pursuits and the school where they teach. 

Gordon’s Education Program Named Among Best in the Nation for Preparing Future Teachers to Teach Reading 

The program is among just 48 nationwide and is the only program in Massachusetts highlighted by NCTQ for going above and beyond the standards set by literacy experts for coverage of the most effective methods of reading instruction—often called the “science of reading.”

Teaching Internationally During a Global Pandemic

Angela Epplett ’20 sought to pursue her passion for education despite the odds. In a global pandemic, and after only visiting once, Epplett moved to the Dominican Republic to work with third and fifth-grade students with learning needs at Santiago Christian School in Santiago de los Caballeros.
