Gordon College announces the Bay Area Project—a three-year initiative, beginning this semester, founded on the goal of raising up the next generation of Christian leaders in San Francisco’s Bay Area while creating new career opportunities for Gordon students.
Forty years since launching the computer science major and 50 since Gordon’s first computer programming course, the College celebrates a history in innovation.

For engineering manager and church elder Tim Ells ’78, psychology training and faith foundation offer a rare lens to see the humanity in a world of rapidly advancing technology. “Computers are the tools, but I need to be able to understand my customers . . . my team.”
Computer science seniors walk away from their yearlong project with real, tangible experience under their belt—and their impact extends from the Chapel walls into the world.
